Today saw the first edition of a dedicated page to Corby Town Supporters Trust in the match day programme.
This is a great achievement and shows what a good relationship the trust has with the club.
This opportunity gives the trust another way of keeping its members up to date on what’s happening but will also show other Corby Town fans what the trust is up to.
The Corby Town Supporters’ Trust membership packs will be available for collection at this Saturdays game. We should have our table setup just inside the gate next to the 50/50 and match day programs. Be sure to come and collect your membership pack.
The Corby Town Supporters’ Trust is also pleased to announce that we have launched a discount partnership this season, to ensure value for our members and create a bond with local Corby businesses. Today saw another win for the Steelmen, which moved them up to 3rd in the league. Shane Byrne got Corby’s only goal in the 42nd minute and the team held on to the 1-0 lead to secure their 5th win of the season.
The man of the match as voted by the Supporters’ Trust board went to Shane Byrne. He continuously tracked back and made them all important challenges as well as being excellent going forward. His goal topped off a great first half performance to which he continued into the 2nd half.
The winner of the FREE Corby Town shirt happily received his prize today. Congratulations once again to Cameron Craig.
Although the results didn’t go our way against St Neots Town the first half was a dream performance with some brilliant passes and great build ups. The luck just wasn’t going our way and the ball wouldn’t hit the back of the net again for us to take the lead. Many fans were saying it was the best they had seen any Corby Town team play.
After such a great first half the fans were expecting more of the same but it was a different story and that dream performance turned into a nightmare one which saw us lose the game 3-1.
The fans were brilliant throughout and even though it was a rainy bank holiday over 500 were in attendance.
The Supporters Trust decided to award Kalern Thomas as MOTM as he ran his socks off and put in a good display at right back. He was presented his award by Martin Rippingale and his daughter.
The Corby Town Supporters Trust are official sponsors for Corby Town’s Man of The Match award. Each game the MOTM will be decided and they will receive a bottle of Irn Bru.
The Man of the Match award against Arsley Town was Shane Byrne, who received his bottle of Irn Bru from Jamie Kyle. He opened up the scoring and had a good game controlling the middle of the park.
Saturdays MOTM was Akin Daramola who had a solid game against Chesham United with his strong challenges and great vision. He was presented his award by Ross Fergusson.
At the last home game verses Hitchin Town we gave you a chance to win a FREE Corby Town shirt. We received a lot of entries and the winner has now been drawn. We would like to say a big congratulations to Cameron Craig on being the lucky winner.
We will be holding a number of give aways throughout the season so be sure to enter the next one.
The board of Corby Town Supports’ Trust are going to be donating £1 of their signing up fee of every member that joins to the Lakelands Hospice.
Lakelands Hospice is an independent charity committed to delivering the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer, heart failure and other life-limiting illnesses.
They honour people’s right to dignity and respect during all stages of their illness, by improving the quality of life of all hospice attendees and their families.
Lakelands Hospice at Home service aims to deliver overnight skilled nursing care for patients during their last two weeks of life.
The board feel this is a great opportunity for the Trust to start putting something back into the community. The new board find it very important to help where and when we can.
We look forward to seeing you this Saturday at Steel Park where you will have a chance to win a Corby Town home shirt for FREE and sign up to the trust. It will also give you a great oppertunity to meet the new board members.
This Saturday sees Hitchin Town visit Steel Park to kick-off the 2014/15 season.
The Corby Town Supporters Trust will have a gazebo set up near the turnstiles, and will be offering supporters the opportunity to win the NEW Corby Town home shirt in our FREE prize draw.
To enter simply come and see us before the game and provide us with your name and email address. The winner will be drawn at random and will be emailed to claim their prize.
This season the Corby Town Supporters’ Trust has a completely new board and we would like to speak with supporters about their views and expectations for how the trust should operate. None of the current board have ever been involved with the trust previously and we want to meet as many supporters as possible.
The trust exists for the fans of Corby Town and it can be shaped by every member.
There will be a chance to sign up for the supporters’ trust for the new season at the gazebo, with membership forms available now.
